Bottle (B) - Kate Semple
Stoneware ceramic bottle with a fluted top.
A textured blue-grey glaze is applied to the red clay body, combining expressive brushstrokes with gestural mark-making to create a subtle yet tactile surface.
The slab-built construction gives the bottle a distinctive sculptural form, closely echoing the artist's other primary practice of creating papier-mâché vessels.
Both sculptural and functional, this watertight vessel is designed for use as a flower vase.
