Hand Dyed Itajime Origami 50 Sheet Pack

Itajime is one of the Japanese dyeing techniques traditionally applied on fabrics, similar to tie-dye.
Each pre-folded sheet is sandwiched by templates (Ita) and tightly clamped (Jime) with a piece of string, ensuring those parts remain undyed.
This careful and complicated hand-folding process creates intricate patterns on both sides of the paper. 

Soft and flexible yet very sturdy, ideal for folding into shapes,  card or paper-flower making.
 
Set of assorted 50 sheets. No two sheets have exactly the same pattern or colour.
 
Made in Tottori, a renowned producing area of fine Japanese paper.
