Hand thrown ceramic jar.  Made in Japan.

Functional line of the highly acclaimed studio potter.

As originally designed as food container, this item is suitable for serving preserved food straight from fridge to table.  Alternatively it would be great as jewellery rest or storing tiny sundries nicely.

Glazes are full with nuance and texture. 

Each piece is one-of-a-kind and slightly varies in it's dimensions.

  • About Maker

    Ohara Koichi is a highly acclaimed studio potter based in Tokoname, Japan. Ohara draws his inspiration from the raw textures in the nature. He mixes various local soils and materials to make his clay, glaze and slip, which often contain grit.  Ohara studied physics at Meisei University before becoming a ceramic artist.
