Mid sized table mat/wall hanging with fringe woven by textile artist Sarah Jane Holt using Japanese Saori loom.
One-off piece. Yarn dyed by Sarah's hand with natural Indian Indigo.
Inspired by Japanese vintage mosquito nets - Kaya - that were often dyed with Indigo, Sarah created these pieces to reflect its sheer quality, softness, and softest blue.
The resulting pieces are simple and intricate, highlighting the imperfection of cloth which is longing to be touched and treasured in the home.
