The Watermill Incense
Cedar leaves have been used for various aromatic purposes.
Renowned for it's refreshing, soothing scent and anti-microbial nature, The scent lingers long after the stick is burnt out, making it ideal to create relaxed and purified atmosphere.
This incense is absolutely sustainable. Not only made from 100% responsibly sourced wood and leaves, it's production process is entirely powered by water from the local stream in Japan.
Burning time for each stick is approx. 40 min which is used as one round of Zen ritual meditation in Japan. Each bundle has generous quantity of 70 sticks.
The Baba Watermill was founded in 1918 jointlyby the village members, and now is owned and run by the Babas, husband and wife duo.
Their community in Yame, southern Japan, has been through the rise and fall of milling business in 100 years, and still the duo holds a strong passion to carry on the area's legacy of forestry-based manufacturing with natural resources and sustainable energy. The mill constantly receives visitors who are keen to learn from this successful model of green local economy.
There are no man-made chemicals used in this item, instead, a small amount of Japanese bay leaves are mixed in to serve as natural resin.
