Just in time for the festive season, Sugimoto Sanae and Four Point Puzzles (Canada) have delivered a gorgeous gift to us. We are glad to be the only stockist of this jigsaw in the UK and in Japan.

This 1000 piece, 63 cm (25") square jigsaw puzzle features Sugimoto Sanae's artwork, "Evening Kingdom".

It depicts some of the themes common throughout her work such as girls, flowers and animals. Like all of her illustrations, this incredibly detailed image is full of thought and wonder.

Once the jigsaw is completed, it would make a beautiful interior art if framed and hung on your wall. Optional gift wrapping available here.

The difficulty level of this puzzle is medium. Working with only two colour inks adds a challenging aspect to this puzzle, but the variation in imagery makes this puzzle interesting and achievable.

  • About the Artist

Sugimoto Sanae's understated, yet highly poetic drawings evoke imagination and  narrative to the viewers.  Based in Japan, she has a fan base all around the world.

Most of her recent works are drawn on paper with only black and orange inks (sumi) which were originally made for calligraphy.

After completed painting course at art college in Kyoto, Sanae had settled in her hometown. Recently she moved to Fukuoka, where she draws and takes selected commissions of artwork.

A collection of Sanae's drawings was published as "Close Your Ears" in 2018.
