Mid sized wall hanging with fringe woven by textile artist Sarah Jane Holt using Japanese Saori loom.
One-off piece. Yarn dyed by Sarah's hand with natural Indian Indigo.
A series of hand woven hangings - Window Wash - have been produced to reflect the interesting textures and patina Sarah finds on aged walls, driftwood, fishing nets and old boats close to where she lives by the sea in Hastings.
The resulting pieces are simple and intricate, highlighting the imperfection of cloth which is longing to be touched and treasured in the home.
